Data processed by the website

During normal browsing, the web systems process technical navigation data that are implicit in Internet protocols, such as IP address, requested URI, date and time of the request, response status, browser and operating-system information. These data are used to provide the service, keep it secure and check its correct operation.

Personal data voluntarily sent by email or other direct contact channels are used only to handle the request received.

Cookies and tracking tools

The current version of the eSWua website does not intentionally use profiling cookies, marketing cookies, analytics cookies or consent-management cookies.

Some application pages use PHP sessions and may set the technical session cookie PHPSESSID. This cookie is needed to keep temporary state for functions such as filters, plots and download tools. It is not used for profiling and normally expires at the end of the browsing session.

Under the Italian Garante guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools, technical cookies do not require prior consent; their use is described here for transparency.

Third-party resources

Some pages may load script, style or image resources from external providers and public data services, including CDN services used by the legacy application pages. When these resources are requested, the providers may receive technical connection data such as IP address and user-agent according to their own policies. The eSWua website does not use these resources for profiling or advertising.

Legal basis and retention

The legal basis is the need to provide the requested web service, ensure security and pursue INGV institutional and public-interest tasks. Technical navigation data and logs are retained only for the time needed for operation, security and legal obligations, according to the institutional INGV privacy policy. Technical session cookies are temporary.

User rights

Users may exercise the rights provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, including access, rectification, erasure where applicable, restriction and objection. Users may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Updates

If non-technical cookies or tracking tools such as analytics, maps, video embeds, CAPTCHA, advertising or social profiling features are added, this page and the consent mechanism will be updated before those tools are activated.
